IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS OF
CURRENT 5th Graders (Rising 6th Graders)The Virginia Department of Health requires that all children who start 6th grade next fall MUST have a current Tdap vaccination completed BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS in August. If the school does not have documentation of your child's' Tdap vaccination on file before the first day of school, your child may NOT start 6th grade. Please make arrangements and doctors appointments NOW to have this done over the summer. If your physician wishes to defer the Tdap vaccination until your child turns 11, you must have a medical exemption signed by the doctor.
