Science Update...

WeatherNet

St. James participates in the WeatherNet Classroom project.  With weather-measuring equipment installed at the school, St. James broadcasts live weather statistics.  Click HERE to connect to the St. James Weather Station.  Once there, explore the site and click "Full Details" to access more options, including a Live Display of the weather info.

NASA's S'COOL Project

St. James gr. 4 students will once again be observing clouds and providing "ground truth" observations for NASA as part of their S'COOL Project.  As the observation satellite passes overhead, the students will record weather data and cloud types, e-mailing them to NASA for comparison with the satellite observations from above the clouds. A special thank you to the parent volunteers who are helping the children with their data collection, and to Lt. Cdr. Schilling for donating the cloud charts for each student and teacher to use.
